Job description

We're currently recruiting an ambitious Chef Manager to help us create exceptional food experiences on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week. As a Chef Manager, you will be responsible for both the culinary offer and the day-to-day management of the catering operation, delivering an outstanding food and service experience. Responsibilities
  • Preparing and delivering delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
  • Managing and leading the kitchen and catering team, creating a positive and supportive working environment
  • Identifying opportunities to improve food quality, service delivery and operational efficiency
  • Delivering our food concepts and standards consistently
  • Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
  • Managing ordering, stock control and minimising food waste
  • Overseeing kitchen cleaning and ensuring excellent hygiene standards are maintained
  • Managing budgets, controlling costs and meeting financial targets
  • Ensuring compliance with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations
  • Supporting recruitment, training and development of team members
Qualifications
  • Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ or equivalent qualification
  • Have experience in a similar Chef Manager or senior catering management role
  • Be a strong leader who can motivate and develop a team
  • Be an excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Be commercially aware with strong financial and cost control skills
  • Strive for excellence with an enthusiastic and proactive approach
  • Take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers and clients
  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate excellent timekeeping, reliability and organisational skills
