Job summary

A prestigious hotel in Inverness is seeking a passionate Chef de Partie to deliver exceptional modern Scottish cuisine using seasonal produce. This full-time role involves running your own kitchen section with autonomy. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in a quality kitchen and a strong knowledge of culinary techniques. Competitive salary, service charge, and live-in options are offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as CDP in a quality fresh-food kitchen.

Join the award-winning kitchen brigade at one of Inverness’s finest 4* hotels, set on the banks of the River Ness. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to deliver exceptional modern Scottish cuisine using the Highlands’ finest seasonal produce.

The Role
  • Full-time, permanent contract
  • 5 days out of 7 (straight shifts, mix of early & late)
  • Run your own section with autonomy and creativity
  • Prepare à la carte, tasting menus, afternoon teas and events for up to 120 covers
  • Maintain impeccable standards of hygiene, stock control and presentation
About You
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as CDP in a quality fresh‑food kitchen (rosette/4* standard preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of classical and modern techniques
  • Calm under pressure, excellent team player
  • Passion for local, sustainable ingredients
  • Level 2 Food Safety (or willing to obtain)

  • Service charge: typically £4,000–£6,000 p.a. (paid monthly)
