Overview

Chartered Structural Engineer — London. Ref MR200. I am looking for an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to join a successful consultancy in London. Ideally the candidate would have a minimum of 5 years' UK experience of structural design within residential and commercial buildings.

Self-motivation and professional development: You must be self-motivated, driven by a challenge whilst continually developing new skills and sharing experience with the team.

Responsibilities
  • Produce detailed structural calculations and sketches.
  • Prepare construction drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to verify construction complies with drawings.
  • Prepare reports and contribute to project documentation.
  • Support costing, budgets and quotations with commercial awareness.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Essential: Minimum five years' experience within structural design including steelwork, reinforced concrete and masonry construction to Eurocode standard.
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD, Masterseries and TEDDS design software.
  • Experience producing detailed structural calculations and sketches; preparation of construction drawings and specifications.
  • Site visits to verify construction complies with construction drawings.
  • Commercial awareness of costing, budgets and quotations.
  • Report writing.
  • Understanding of project delivery in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Desirable: Understanding of STAAD.Pro, SCIA and Revit.
  • Project management and leadership skills.
  • Chartered Engineer with IStructE.
