Job description
Overview

We are looking to add to our great catering team to work across various sites within the trust. The role will be 37.5 hours per week, working a range of shifts from 06:00 to 19:00, 5 days over 7 (including weekends).

Responsibilities
  • Work in our kitchens and service points, capable of helping the teams to continue in delivering a fantastic food service to our service users within the units; provide a customer focused service.
  • Clean crockery, pots and pans using an industrial dishwashing machine and manual washing.
  • Prepare hot and cold food items, and service patient and other meals or functions.
  • Adhere to safe working practices in all aspects of hygiene management and risk management and security.
  • Carry out general and specialised cleaning tasks in accordance with Trust procedures.
  • Load ovens and food trolleys.
  • Undertake mandatory training in COSHH, HACCP and comply with all Trust policies relevant to the post, particularly the food hygiene policy.
  • Be able to stand for periods and may involve moving and lifting of goods and food stuffs.
  • Based at the Catering Prestwich unit, with required support to other units as needed.
Requirements
  • Ability to gain at least Level 2 food hygiene knowledge (or already held).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to think on your feet.
  • Pre-employment checks apply; DBS for role and enrolment in the DBS Update Service may be required (fee applies).
  • All positions subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.
