Overview

We are looking for a Catering Team Member to join Broadgreen Hospital in Liverpool. The role involves working in our ward kitchen to provide high quality food and patient experience.

Responsibilities
  • Regenerate chilled/frozen food and prepare sauces.
  • Plate and serve cold and hot food items with meal delivery to patients, including condiments.
  • Probe and record food temperatures and record equipment temperatures.
  • Provide beverage service to patients; wash and refill patient water jugs and beakers.
  • Take patient orders and communicate requirements to the catering department.
  • Clear meal trays, crockery and cutlery for all food areas.
  • Collect, segregate and dispose of catering waste materials.
  • Clean kitchen and other areas according to department cleaning schedules, including equipment, work surfaces, crockery and cutlery.
  • Order and receive goods from the main catering production unit to maintain stock levels.
  • Complete catering department procedural paperwork such as temperature checks and monitoring.
  • Undertake training as required to fulfil this role and any further training that will enhance personal effectiveness and delivery of high standards of service.
  • Work cooperatively with colleagues as part of the team and perform additional duties as directed by the catering supervisor.
