Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain dining and service areas, including setting up furniture, trolleys and cleaning equipment.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards; serve food in correct portions; wash dishes, cutlery and other catering equipment.
• Daily cleaning of all catering areas.
• Undertake additional training as required.
• Cash collection and banking; maintain records and procedures; undertake key holding responsibilities.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate regularly with customers, managers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience in a similar environment is desirable.
• Basic Food Hygiene and basic Health and Safety certificates are desirable but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
• Adequate numeracy, literacy and communication skills are required to perform duties effectively.
