Job summary

SeeAbility in Banbury is seeking a Bank Support Worker to provide compassionate care for adults with physical disabilities and acquired brain injury. You will support daily living tasks, personal care, meals and medication as part of a rotating shift pattern.

Join a team that prioritises independence, respect and inclusion while building meaningful relationships with people supported and their families. Training is provided, with a focus on safeguarding and positive behaviour support.

Qualifications

• Exposure to Acquired Brain Injury or Stroke or other physical disabilities.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support is desirable but not required.
• Candidate should be able to complete mandatory training prior to starting.

Join Our Team as a Bank Support Worker- Physical disabilities and acquired brain Injury

Essential Criteria

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate exposure to two of the following areas of expertise:

• Acquired Brain Injury
• Stroke and other Physical Disabilities
• Positive Behaviour Support

You will be required to complete all SeeAbility mandatory training before you are able to start on shift. As soon as your training is completed you can be added to the shift rota based on the needs of the home and your availability to work.

What will you be doing?

As a Support Worker, you'll be more than just their support – you'll be a key part of someone's journey towards living their best life. Here's what you'll be doing:

• Daily Care & Support: Helping with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.

• Building Relationships: Getting to know the people you support, understanding their needs, and helping them live life on their own terms.

• Empowering Independence: Assisting with personal goals, from daily activities to long-term aspirations, and encouraging creative exploration.

• Social Engagement: Supporting activities like holiday’s, social events, and hobbies, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to enjoy what they love.

• Respect & Dignity: Ensuring that the individuals and their families are treated with the utmost respect, dignity, and equality.

Who you will be Supporting?

The team supports up to five people, who have a variety of health conditions from acquired brain injury, stroke and other physical disabilities. You will be supporting people with all aspects of life from personal care, cooking, cleaning, and day to day supporting people to live the life they choose. There are some people who have behaviours of concern, but you will be surrounded by a supportive team and will have training to be confident in providing the right support.

Job Details

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire

Salary: £13.55 per hour plus benefits

Hours: Working flexibly as shifts vary between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm, Monday to Sunday.

Contract: Zero Hours, Bank
