Within the context of the University’s mission, CELT offers accredited English programs for international students wishing to develop their language skills and cultural awareness for work or study purposes. These accredited programs are Language and Communication Essentials, English for Academic Purposes and Examination Preparation and the University’s direct entry English language pathway the Academic English & Study Skills Bridging Course. CELT also designs and delivers programs customised for the needs of its international partners.
Under the direction of CELT’s Director of Studies, ELICOS, and Bridging Course Co-ordinator, and under the direction of the Customised Programs Manager and Co-ordinator for Customised Programs and Study Tours, teachers are responsible for the implementation of the Centre’s curricula through the planning, documenting, co-ordinating and monitoring of the delivery of English language programs to international students.
