Carpenter - Social Housing

Location: North London

Salary: £22-£23ph

Contract Type: Full-time

Hours: 40 hours per week + Overtime

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our in-house repairs and maintenance team, working across social housing stock in North London. This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our residents by ensuring their homes are safe, well-maintained, and fit for purpose.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out a wide range of carpentry repairs and installations in occupied and void properties.
  • Complete tasks such as fitting doors, frames, skirting, locks, and kitchen units.
  • Diagnose faults and complete work to a high standard in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales and customer satisfaction remains a top priority.
  • Use handheld devices to receive and record job information.
What We're Looking For
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in domestic property repairs and maintenance, ideally within social housing.
  • Full UK driving licence (a van may be provided).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
