A college in Rotherham is looking for a Caretaker and Estates Operative to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff. This full-time role involves maintaining campus facilities, assisting during emergencies, and participating in an estates presence rota. The successful candidate will have prior maintenance experience and a relevant qualification in English and Maths. You will also enjoy a benefits package including up to 41 days of leave and access to pensions and health services.
Hours: Full time (37hrs per week, all year round) on a shift pattern basis of morning and afternoons
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £25,456 per annum + benefits
Location: Dearne Valley College, Rotherham
The Caretaker and Estates Operative fulfils a key role at the College by ensuring that all buildings are available, accessible and suitable for the use of students, staff and visitors. Fulfilling this role is critical to ensuring that we have a safe, clean and welcoming campus environment. Your role and how you deal with people in a professional and friendly way will shape staff and visitor’s views of the overall look and feel of the College Campus.
You will report to the Estates and Facilities Management Team and work co-operatively with colleagues across all College Campuses and premises.
