Job summary

A prominent educational institution in Trafford seeks an experienced Careers Adviser for maternity cover until October 2026. This full-time role (32.25 hours per week, term time only plus two weeks) involves providing quality careers education advice to students aged 11-19. Salary Band 5: SCP 19-22 - Actual salary: £28,284-£29,729

We are looking to appoint an experienced Careers Adviser to support school in driving our vision to offer quality careers education advice and guidance to students aged 11 to 19, to ensure they understand a wide and diverse range of career pathways

We are looking for candidates who:

  • have a Level 4 Advice & Guidance qualification, or who are working towards
  • have knowledge and awareness of legislation relating to careers education advice and guidance
  • have experience and knowledge of the education system
  • have an enthusiasm for the role of further education in building futures and changing lives
  • have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop respectful and professional relationships with students, parents/carers and colleagues
