About the role

We will teach you everything you need to know and all we ask is that you are a caring and kind person with a genuine desire to help and support our patients by providing exceptional care. You'll not be doing this alone; you will join one of our dynamic and caring teams and work alongside many colleagues, including Healthcare Support workers and registered Nurses.

Key responsibilities
  • Assisting patients with toileting, bed making and mobilisation.
  • Supporting patients with overall comfort and encouraging lifestyle and behaviour changes.
  • Replenishing stock supplies and preparing and cleaning dialysis equipment.
  • Communicating sympathetically with patients, distressed relatives and care for very sick patients.
Personal attributes

You should be compassionate, honest, observant, patient, proactive, a good listener and capable of working effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications and training
  • Completion of the Care Certificate qualification is required as part of your ongoing training.
  • Legal and regulatory checks, including identity verification, DBS and occupational health, will be required.
Working hours

Posts may involve working long days, weekends, bank holidays and Easter and Christmas, including a 24‑hour, 7‑day a week shift pattern (rotational shifts, with enhanced pay for weekends and nights).
