The position is supporting a vulnerable adult living within his own home, working alongside a small staff team.

Main duties of the job
  • Report any changes in needs to the designated Care Manager or Registered Manager so that updates can be made to the care plan.
  • Assist the Care Manager or Registered Manager in ensuring that all shifts are adequately covered according to the allocated funding.
  • Maintain accurate records, such as Medication Administration Records (MAR) and care support diaries, and inform relevant individuals of any changes.
  • Administer and manage medications, ensuring that appropriate stock levels are maintained at all times.
  • Provide personal care assistance to the individual you are supporting.
  • Participate in and support activities both inside and outside the home.
  • Accompany clients to hospital appointments.

Job responsibilities

We are looking for a Care Support Assistant to support a client based in Ellesmere Port. Full training will be given to set you on your path to being a Care Support Assistant, with a competitive rate after training.

You will be paid £14.00 per hour after training is completed and a reduced rate for sleeping nights (training is provided during our recruitment process).

Hours: Full Time, Days and Sleeping Nights (Mixed shifts) to support a gentleman in his home.

Your responsibilities as our Care Support Assistant will include: Assisting and supporting vulnerable clients to enable them to live the life they choose (where possible) to promote their independence. Your role will include companionship, supporting with housework, running errands and supporting with preparing and cooking meals. Administering medication may be required.

Skills and Experience required

You are required to have good communication skills and have a desire to care for others. Possessing a UK full driving license and having some previous experience would be advantageous.
