Overview

Responsibilities

As a CARE Professional at Shoreham, Petts Wood & Longfield, you will travel to clients’ homes and provide a range of care services that enable them to continue living independently in their own homes.

At Home Instead, we provide non-medical services (personal care, house-help and companionship), and we’re looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a genuine difference to our clients’ quality of life.

Some necessary requirements include:

  • Weekend availability
  • A full UK driving licence

This role could involve:

  • Morning routines, including personal care such as bathing
  • Evening routines before bed
  • Helping with jobs around the home
  • Cooking meals
  • Taking clients shopping or to appointments
  • Driving them to day centres, church, or local activities
  • Encouraging hobbies and interests
  • Or simply providing them with company and companionship

You don’t need formal experience or qualifications—we provide full training. What matters most is your kindness, compassion, and reliability.

Qualifications

You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a CARE Professional. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. Possible experience for the role would include:

  • A personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience.
  • Passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service.
  • Reliable, trustworthy and respectful.
  • Enjoying building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others.
