Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time care navigator here at Newport Surgery.

In this essential front-line position the role is responsible for ensuring that appointment bookings are well-managed a safe high-quality service is delivered to our patients patient queries are answered and administration work is completed to a high standard.

The successful applicant will have an excellent telephone manner be a team player and have the ability to work under pressure and problem solve.

The successful candidate must be flexible to be able to work extra hours to support colleagues sickness and holiday absence.

Skills and knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Basic IT proficiency (Microsoft Office clinical systems like EMIS or SystmOne)
  • Understanding of confidentiality and data protection (GDPR)
  • Ability to follow protocols and procedures accurately
Experience
