About Copperdown

Copperdown is a small privately run residential home in Rugeley for both residential and dementia clients with an excellent reputation within the local community, known for its caring staff and friendly atmosphere.

Position Summary

We are currently looking for Day Care Assistants and Senior Care Assistants for early and late day shifts (7am – 3pm / 3pm – 9pm). We offer excellent rates of pay and provide a comprehensive training package. NVQ 2/3 would be desirable, although full training will be given and you must be willing to complete relevant NVQ's and The Care Certificate.

Full and part‑time hours are available. Hours will be 7am – 3pm and 3pm – 9pm and also includes weekends.

Role of the Care Assistant

The role of the care assistant is to assist and support older people and people with dementia. As a carer you will have a key role that impacts on the quality of life of our residents. The role involves getting to know our residents personally and providing them with emotional support and company which contributes positively to their wellbeing. To support residents in all activities of daily living which are specified in their care plan and are required to maximise wellbeing.

This will include all aspects of personal care, nutritional needs and recreational activities so that residents can achieve optimal wellbeing, independence, self‑expression and fulfilment.

Experience preferred but not essential as all training will be provided.
