Overview

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. You will have full training and clinical support to develop and improve skills in complex areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care. We care for and support people of all ages, in the community and their homes, with spinal cord injury, muscular dystrophy, acquired brain injuries and other complex needs. Every day will be different, and you’ll be making your clients’ days brighter while developing your skills and knowledge.

This client needs support with day-to-day living due to a spinal cord injury.

Responsibilities
  • Provide complex care in community and home settings for clients with spinal cord injury, muscular dystrophy, acquired brain injuries and other complex needs.
  • Develop and apply skills in areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management and stoma care.
  • Support clients with day-to-day living and enable independence within their home and community.
  • Work with clients of varying ages and care needs, adapting to different daily challenges.
  • Contribute to making clients’ days brighter while continuing to grow your knowledge and abilities.
Qualifications
  • No complex care experience required; full nurse-led training will be provided.
  • Essential: care, compassion and resilience.
  • Some care experience in a community or care home setting would be valuable.
