Job summary

A healthcare provider in Ely seeks a Senior Care Assistant to lead a care team and support residents in daily living tasks. The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and a passion for helping older individuals. Qualifications

  • Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, Level 3 desired or willingness to work towards it.
  • Experience working in a care home or similar setting.
  • Medication administration experience (training can be provided).

Senior Care Assistant

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our residents lead fulfilling, meaningful lives while maintaining independence, dignity and choice.

Responsibilities
  • Leading and supervising the care team on shift
  • Supporting with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Administering medication safely
  • Creating, reviewing and updating person‑centred care plans
  • Supporting residents with emotional and psychological well‑being
  • Working closely with families to ensure they feel part of the Glenholme community
Qualifications and Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum, as Level 3 desired or willingness to work towards it)
  • Experience working in a care home or similar setting
  • Medication administration experience (training can be provided)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting older people

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Rate: £13.65 per hour + paid training + industry‑recognised qualifications + flexible shifts

Hours: 35 per week
