A leading NHS Trust in Sheffield is seeking a Cardiac Rhythm Management Nurse Specialist to provide specialist nursing care focusing on arrhythmia management and collaborate with a dynamic team. The post holder will join a dynamic, fast‑evolving CRM team, which formed in 2008. Currently the nursing team consists of 4 WTE and 2 P/T band 7 CRM nurse specialists. The CRM nursing team is supported by 7 consultant cardiologists with a specialist interest in CRM and 1 consultant cardiologist with a specialist interest in syncope/ autonomic dysfunction. Within the trust the team manages patients with a vast range of complex CRM related pathology and a large Syncope and PoTS/autonomic dysfunction service.
The post holder will be a member of the CRM Team, providing specialist‑nursing care to all patients referred to the CRM service utilising advanced nursing practice skills, advanced ECG interpretation skills and knowledge to enable streamlining of the care pathway.
The post holder will act as a source of expertise and knowledge for patients, relatives and health professionals.
As part of a multi‑disciplinary team they will be involved in the provision of nurse‑led clinics in arrhythmia, devices, syncope and PoTS /autonomic dysfunction, drug testing, cardioversions and pre‑assessment clinics.
They will be able to work within the team working closely with Consultant Cardiologists and Physicians and the CRM nurse specialists.
To support the medical staff in the provision of the existing Cardiac Rhythm Management Service to patients with arrhythmias, devices, syncope and PoTS/autonomic dysfunction.
To support the development of the new Cardiovascular Risk Factor Modification clinic in AF patients.
To support the development of inpatient CRM management (devices/VA pathway, syncope and autonomic dysfunction, arrhythmias drug challenges).
