Role Overview

We require a Carbon Performance Lead to deliver impactful carbon awareness and performance to reduce carbon emissions across the Environment Agency’s flood and coastal risk management schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strong sustainability leadership to influence senior leaders to prioritise carbon reduction across their programme of construction works.
• Identify specific carbon reduction actions annually and coordinate multiple technical specialists and project managers to ensure delivery.
• Maximise the reduction of carbon by upskilling and empowering the integrated delivery team and its supply chain, ensuring best practice carbon management and thinking are adopted at every opportunity.
• Apply strong commercial awareness and manage a financial budget to deliver the above tasks.
• Respond to incidents as part of business continuity; be available to respond to incidents or support during an incident. Additional payment and full training are available.
