Job summary

A leading recruitment agency seeks a Plumber's Mate to assist in caravan manufacturing. Responsibilities include supporting plumbers with installation and assembly, conducting basic quality checks, and ensuring health and safety standards are met. This position is on-site in Hessle, offering a pay rate of £12.21 per hour during Monday to Thursday working hours.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a plumber's mate or in a plumbing/maintenance support role required.
• Basic understanding of plumbing tools, fittings, and safe working practices.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from qualified plumbers.
• Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support plumbers with fitting fresh water and waste systems in caravans.
• Help install sinks, showers, toilets, and basic plumbing fixtures.
• Assist with routing, cutting, and securing piping under supervision.
• Help carry out basic leak checks and report issues to the lead plumber.
• Work alongside plumbers, electricians, and joiners to ensure smooth workflow.
