Job Summary

You will have support from a larger peer network of CAMHS managers across the broader service. This means that the new manager will be able to focus more on planning the exciting future of our CAMHS vision, launching new projects, improving our services and being part of our journey to being an outstanding CAMHS Service.

You will be well supported in your career development and provided supportive supervision to aid development within the role. Some of our current managers are undertaking courses in Leadership alongside their work. Our CAMHS Service prides itself on our compassionate leadership culture and Just Culture ethos.

Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for leading a team of nurses, therapists, and support staff to develop and deliver a successful and innovative CAMHS service to serve children, young people, and their families in Cornwall.

Working in partnership with wider multidisciplinary teams the post holder will take responsibility and accountability for the delivery of services within this CAMHS team.

As well as strategic direction and implementation of service developments the Team Manager will be responsible for the line management of staff including supervision, appraisal and continued professional development to ensure the team are operating at the highest of standards and within local and national guidelines.

Overall, the Team Manager will be operationally responsible for the management and provision of quality evidence-based intervention, advice, support and care for our children and young people and their carers.

Qualifications and Experience

Education and Training (Essential)

  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Leadership/Management qualification or experience to diploma level
  • Relevant professional qualification e.g. Dip OT, Dip SW, RMN, Clinical Psychology Grade A, or equivalent

Education and Training (Desirable)

  • Masters level qualification or equivalent experience

Experience (Essential)

  • Substantial experience of clinical work as a qualified professional
  • Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team
