Job summary

Tesco Cafés are seeking a Café Manager with a passion for hospitality and proven people management skills to lead daily café operations and develop a friendly, motivated team. You will drive sales, ensure quality service, and maintain safe, clean standards across the cafe environment.

You will oversee recruitment, training, and performance development while role-modelling exceptional customer service, compliance, and a positive culture across our Tesco Cafés network.

Qualifications

• Background in hospitality at supervisory level or above.
• Commitment to excellent customer service.
• People management skills to lead by example and coach inclusively.
• Good planning and organisation skills.
• Confidence using initiative to improve ways of working.
• Excellent communication to motivate and support a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall running of the café, including routines and standards.
• Hold full profit and loss accountability for the café.
• Maximise sales and ensure safety and legality for customers and colleagues.
• Lead and inspire the team to hit sales targets.
• Understand drivers of the service plan and deliver to required standards.
• Select, train and develop team members to take pride in their work.
• Act as a café menu expert and share knowledge with the team.
• Ensure customers are served quickly with high quality food and drinks in a clean environment.
