Collett have a world-renowned reputation for delivering Wind Turbine components (and other Indivisible Abnormal Load movements) in the Renewable Energy industry. The consulting department handles abnormal load transport planning and reporting. The expansion of the Consulting division is focused on renewables, and the opportunity has arisen to appoint a CAD Technician Surveyor to provide services related to Traffic and Transport Assessments and reporting. The Company holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and ISO 45001 certifications.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out Swept Path Analysis (SPA) via AutoCAD
  • Assess, review and design loading and transport methods using CAD
  • Produce route assessments, project reports, and CAD drawings
  • Maintain direct communication with clients, contractors and colleagues
  • Carry out route surveying and analysis
  • Perform land-based topographical surveying using calibrated instruments and surveying equipment
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Qualified to 'A' Level standard
  • Knowledge of transport and/or engineering/surveying standards and best practices
  • Experience with CDM regulations
  • Good level of 2D AutoCAD experience; 3D AutoCAD is an advantage but not essential
  • Pro-active, self-motivated, well organized
  • Effective team player with good communication, numeracy and confidence
  • Excellent communication skills with clients, colleagues and contractors
  • Valid Driving Licence and Passport; UK and some European travel will be required (including overnight stays)
  • Additional knowledge (an advantage): understanding of mechanical and/or civil engineering principles; route planning and logistics; planning applications and processes
