Responsibilities
  • Material scheduling for multiple live and upcoming developments at any one time
  • Calculating bulk quantities of bricks, blocks and tiles required for each site and scheduling them with the manufacturer in a timely manner
  • Maintaining and monitoring regional bulk material levels to ensure there are no shortfalls or over ordering
  • Submitting material cost budgets to department surveyors and advising where large losses or stolen product has occurred
  • Work closely with Site and Contract Managers to ensure requisitions are processed efficiently and site issues are overcome swiftly
Requirements / Qualifications
  • A confident and numerate professional with previous Buyer experience within a construction company and the ability to take-offs from drawings
  • Self-motivated, proactive, eager to learn, and strong work ethic
  • Adaptable with a strong and consistent management style when working with site teams and supply chain
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Confident negotiation skills
  • Previous COINS experience is an advantage
  • Full Driving Licence is essential
