The company work within multiple industries including Commercial, Residential; Modular/Traditional Build, Leisure and Retail are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their main office in Medway. This company carry out works across the UK and have earned a reputation for quality on projects.

THE JOB

As Buyer you will play a key role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, negotiate, and procure materials, plant, and subcontractor services for multiple projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure best value and quality.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations to meet cost and time objectives.
  • Work closely with project managers, site teams, and estimators to forecast material requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels and arrange timely deliveries to meet site schedules.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, budgets, and reports.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, project specifications, and health & safety requirements.

  • Proven experience as a Buyer within the construction industry (essential).
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and market trends.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems.

  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
