Neway International are seeking a Business Support Officer to join our client Worcestershire County Council.

Location: Wildwood, Worcester (Hybrid working with office base)

Hours: 35 per week (09:00 – 17:00)

Start Date: 12 January 2026

End Date: 12 April 2026

Pay Rates: PAYE £13.69 per hour / Limited/Umbrella £17.72 per hour

About the Client

The Multi Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT) plays a vital role in ensuring effective coordination and delivery of services to protect vulnerable children across the county.

The Role

We are recruiting one Business Support Officer to provide administrative and coordination support to the MACPT. This hybrid role requires a blend of office‑based and remote working, with the office base located at Wildwood.

The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for service users, partner organisations, and colleagues, ensuring matters are progressed effectively. You will provide advice, manage documentation, support meetings, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for service users, staff, and partner organisations.
  • Provide advice to service users to enable access to Children’s Services and partner organisations.
  • Progress delegated work activities and projects to support service effectiveness.
  • Collate and prepare performance data, including case file audits, to support service scrutiny.
  • Undertake service projects and tasks, including research, investigation, and collation of information.
  • Draft and prepare documents, minutes, PowerPoint presentations, and handle enquiries.
  • Organise meetings with partner agencies, record minutes, and distribute to attendees.
Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Significant experience of working in children’s social care or similar environment.
  • Considerable experience in a role responsible for coordinating activities.
  • Strong computing skills, particularly with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, databases).
  • Effective administrative skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a role with lead responsibility for outcomes.
  • Experience working collaboratively on projects.
  • Experience managing budgets.
