About the role

Business Support Services within Cambridgeshire County Council play a key role in the Council delivering excellent services to the residents of Cambridgeshire.

What will you be doing?

General duties will include database work, diary management, dealing with phone calls from parents, schools, partner agencies and colleagues and sending confidential reports out to parents and agencies.

About you

Working as part of a team you must possess good interpersonal and communication skills. You will need to be able to manage your own workload; to keep calm under pressure and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will support your co-workers with their workload during absence and during busy periods. You should have a methodical and concise approach to tasks and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively whilst being able to multi-task.

You must have good attention to detail. You will also need to demonstrate that you have a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) Office 365 and be IT confident. Training and 1:1 support will be provided on all in-house systems.
