A local government authority is looking for a Business Manager to lead their Project Management Office. As Business Manager, you’ll oversee the operational, financial, and strategic functions of the Project Management Office (PMO). You’ll support the Head of Service in setting the strategic direction for the Capital Projects Team, ensuring projects align with the Council’s ‘Stronger Economy’ priority and deliver the outcomes of the Local Plan and Economic Strategy.
You’ll bring strong leadership experience, excellent organisational skills, and a solid understanding of project management methodologies such as Prince2. A relevant degree or professional qualification is essential, along with experience in managing budgets and working within governance frameworks. You’ll need to be adaptable, resilient, and able to work in an agile way, including occasional out-of-hours commitments.
