Role: Business Development Manager/Director

Location: Home-based with travel to customer/Office sites when required

Job Type: Permanent

  • The successful candidate will join Nasstar’s ICC Business Division Sales team focussed on New Business and be responsible for the growth of new logos in the organisation.
  • The role requires a confident, experienced, and self-motivated individual who is able to work with minimal supervision and who is comfortable working with Marketing, Pre-Sales and the delivery teams to identify new opportunities in new accounts and manage the engagement to closure with the customer. This will require interactions across different organisational levels in both technical and business discussions.
  • Central to the role will be the creation of compelling sales solutions based on a good understanding of the customers’ needs and how Nasstar can provide solutions that solve both technical and business problems for our customers. The successful candidate will also need to be flexible in relation to working from home and business travel.
  • Strong internal and client relationships are paramount, and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a high level of maturity and commercial acumen. Communications and documentation must be authoritative, precise and credible and the successful candidate will be flexible and responsive to issues yet attuned to the agreed scope of work and Nasstar’s interests.
  • The successful candidate will have the experience and confidence to be able to advise clients in relation to solutions provided by the Nasstar ICC Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primarily the Business Development Manager/Director will work with Marketing, Fortinet, and Cisco to uncover new leads and identify opportunities.
  • Work with other BU’s to help drive ICC opportunities across the Nasstar account base.
  • Meet Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Targets for NRR and MRR by closing business in new logos.
  • Work with Pre-Sales to ensure all that the quality of proposals delivered to customers is professional and of high quality.
  • Ensure that Forecasting and Reporting is updated in CRM accurately and timeously reflecting the activities of building a pipeline and moving deals through to Won. Utilise CRM to track leads, opportunities and customer interactions.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and product developments to maintain a competitive edge
  • Conduct thorough research on prospects and their industry, and tailor sales pitches and proposals to meet their specific needs
  • A good understanding and proven ability of partnering effectively with vendors

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum 5 years Sales experience selling Professional & Managed Services Solutions into new customers.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of products listed below, and a good supporting knowledge of the supporting Partner Eco-systems.

- Cyber Security

- Fortinet SD WAN & SASE

- Cisco

- Network Security Solutions

  • Must be familiar with building relationships withing vendors (Fortinet)
  • Experience or understanding of working with Managed Services
