Group Business Development Manager – Belfast, Lisburn HQ (flexibility to travel to meet the Group's new business needs in the ROI).

Inclusion IQ is thrilled to partner with our multi-award-winning client, a rapidly expanding leader in the Green Energy Transport Industry, dedicated to creating sustainable energy solutions across Ireland. They are seeking a highly motivated Group Business Development Manager to be based out of their Belfast HQ. This is a strategic, high-impact opportunity to drive cross-jurisdictional growth.

The Role

As the Group Business Development Manager, you will be a strategic, results-oriented professional. You will be solely responsible for expanding the company's footprint and securing new contracts across ROI. Your primary focus will be on identifying and closing new market sector opportunities across Ireland.

This is a high travel position based in Belfast, requiring frequent travel (multiple days per week) to Dublin and other locations within ROI and NI to manage high-value, complex, new business sales cycles.

Responsibilities
  1. Identify and actively pursue high-potential new retail, wholesale, and distributor accounts within the FMCG landscape.
  2. Develop and execute a robust business development strategy to meet and exceed ambitious new sales revenue targets.
  3. Lead the entire sales cycle from initial lead generation to pitching, negotiating, and successfully closing high-value commercial agreements.
  4. Manage and control the allocated new business budget effectively, ensuring expenditures drive optimal sales results.
  5. Build, maintain, and nurture strong relationships both externally and internally.
  6. Represent the company at key events and networking functions to build brand awareness.
Essential Criteria
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a successful BD Manager.
  • Proven track record in a high-volume, field-based commercial role.
  • Ability to calculate, present, and be accountable for the Return on Investment of all commercial initiatives and contracts.
  • Strong experience in successfully pitching and securing listings with major retailers.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinker with a vision for growth strategies.
  • Exceptional Negotiation skills that can be applied when negotiating complex trade agreements.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, with the ability to create and deliver high-impact sales presentations to senior-level audiences.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and goal-oriented to consistently pursue and convert new business leads.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to travel are non-negotiable requirements of the role.
