A leading financial services firm in the UK is seeking a Business Development Associate. You will need a minimum of 12 months experience in a sales role, ideally telephone-based, and an interest in financial services. Your responsibilities include developing sales pipelines, planning outreach strategies, and maintaining CRM records. The position is hybrid, based in Haddenham, and offers a vibrant work environment with a focus on employee wellbeing and inclusion.

We are looking for people who can a build quality, reliable sales pipeline as part of our New Business Sales team. You'll report to the Head of New Business and work along side 2 other Business Development Associates.
Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the UK financial services industry and of the opportunities, challenges and needs of Advisers and Investment managers.
Build detailed knowledge of Defaqto’s products and services and how they can deliver high levels of value to prospects.
Understand the competitive landscape in which Defaqto operates.
Determine and utilise appropriate sales tactics to ensure that key metrics are hit (in terms of identifying leads, qualified meetings, pipeline) and conversion targets are met.
Plan strategy for multi-channel outreach (mix of calls, emails and LinkedIn) to prospects.
For each lead identified, develop a clear understanding of the customer’s needs and promote appropriate products and services to meet those needs.
Complete all sales administration activities, including setting up and updating customer records in CRM and diarising and logging all customer-related activity.
Degree level preferred, not essential.
Some experience and aptitude for selling, ideally in a telephone based role, minimum of 12 months.
Knowledge and/or interest in financial services sector are preferred - you'll be reaching out to professional prospects right across financial services, from banks and general insurers to financial advisers.

This is a hybrid role and your office base will be in Haddenham.
This is a full-time permanent position. Applicants must already hold a legal right to work in the UK without time restrictions. We are currently unable to provide Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
