Reporting directly to our Director for Project & Cost Management, you will be responsible for managing projects and supported programmes, working closely with our clients, stakeholders and colleagues from other Tetra Tech disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive business cases in accordance with the UK Treasury Green Book guidelines, providing clarity, coherence, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and insights, facilitating the preparation of robust project proposals.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of project benefits, costs, and risks, providing detailed analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Prepare and implement a range of project management tools, including risk registers, stakeholder management plans, and quality assurance plans.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
  • Engage with senior client representatives to present business cases and secure necessary approvals.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project goals.

About you

  • Proven experience in project management with a strong focus on business case writing and strategic planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK's Treasury Green Book and its application in project development.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with senior stakeholders and managing expectations effectively.
  • A collaborative approach to working with diverse teams and clients, ensuring alignment and shared objectives.
  • Professional and ethical in all dealings, demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Relevant qualifications in project management (e.g., APM, RICS) are preferred.

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing projects within government bodies or related sectors is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of financial management principles and their application in project delivery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Project, to support project planning and reporting.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project engagements.
  • You will be expected to work closely and interface with our Cost Management and Project Controls Team to drive opportunities for wider business development.
  • Suitable for Security Clearance processing
