Key responsibilities and authority

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and requirements.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and analysis sessions to elicit and document user stories, use cases, and functional/non-functional requirements.
  • Capture Business Requirements, Business Cases, Functional Specifications, creating and elaborating user stories.
  • Drive awareness of requirements across business units and identify standard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data.
  • Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability.
  • Partner with stakeholders across business units (e.g., sales, finance, security, compliance) to develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively with production, managerial, and executive teams.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of monthly status reports to all appropriate parties.
  • Maintain relationships with partners for optimized systems integration, and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations.
  • Create comprehensive and clear documentation such as BRD, FRD, and use case specifications.
  • Develop process models, workflow diagrams, and prototypes to depict proposed solutions.
  • Work closely with IT Architects, technical teams, and vendors to design feasible solutions that fulfill business needs.
  • Evaluate existing Convatec systems and propose improvements or new solutions to optimize processes.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and understanding of requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and testers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing systems prototypes that promote efficiency and productivity.
  • Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development.
  • Assist in test planning and support the Technical teams in developing test cases that validate implemented solutions against requirements.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business expectations.
  • Support handover of new solutions and support documentation to Operations Teams.

  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or relevant certifications.

Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ Years experience as IT Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio, prototype/wireframes, and user journey flows).
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders and convey technical information clearly.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and its phases.
  • Experience within the Medical Device Technology / Health Care field is a plus.
  • Experience with data analysis, SQL, or BI tools.
  • Certification in Business Analysis or related professional certifications.
