Purpose of the role

Assist the Accountant / Accounts Payable Team Leader in the centralised Accounts Payable function and ad‑hoc projects. Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of invoices and credits. Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and issue accurate invoices for freight services provided, ensuring all details are correct and in line with service agreements.
  • Review and process incoming invoices and credit notes from suppliers, verifying accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies, and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Respond to and resolve any inquiries or disputes related to customer and supplier invoices, ensuring timely and effective communication to maintain strong relationships.
  • Efficiently manage incoming mail, sorting and distributing it to the appropriate teams or departments in a timely manner.
  • Effectively manage and prioritise tasks, ensuring all invoicing, processing, and queries are handled within required timeframes to meet business deadlines.
  • Answer and redirect incoming phone calls, ensuring prompt and professional responses, and providing assistance or transferring to the relevant departments when necessary.
