Job description

We’re looking for Building Surveyors to join our ambitious team in Capita Public Service | Place and Asset Solutions. If you have over 1-2 years’ experience and are looking to propel your career as a Building Surveyor, this could be the perfect position for you.

You’ll support our continuing growth in the North East and North West of England, with opportunities to work on a wide range of projects, including Technical Due Diligence and Forensic Surveying commissions, across different sectors.

Our team works in a hybrid style, this being a mix of site working, home working and office working from our Manchester or North Tyneside office bases.

Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Assist with developing detailed briefs in conjunction with the client and senior colleagues
  2. Carry out site surveys (including measured surveys, condition surveys & defect analysis)
  3. Carry out design and specification work and assist with preparing tender information
  4. Assist with administering building contracts
  5. Undertake all aspects of professional surveying work (including Condition Surveys, Specific Defect Analysis, PW work, dilapidations, Access Audits & FRA’s)
  6. Liaise with Clients, Contractors & other consultants (internal and external)

What we’re looking for:

  1. BSc in Building Surveying or equivalent
  2. At an advanced stage for the APC Final Assessment with RICS or CIOB, or recently qualified
  3. Ability to establish a good working relationship with Clients and colleagues
  4. Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
  5. Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
  6. Good AutoCAD and/or REVIT skills
  7. Full UK Driving Licence
