A healthcare organization in Essex is seeking a part-time radiographer/mammographer to cover maternity leave until September 2026. Responsibilities include producing mammographic images and participating in quality control. Candidates must have a Post Graduate Award in Mammography. We are looking to employ an enthusiastic radiographer/mammographer to join our team on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave until September 2026. We are the Chelmsford and Colchester Breast Screening Unit serving the population of North and Mid-Essex. This post is part time up to 30 hours per week. We have 3 mobile units covering 11 screening sites including Clacton, Braintree, Brentwood and Chelmsford. Two major hospitals are within our catchment area so working in rapid diagnostic clinics is part of the weekly workload. Both Broomfield and Colchester hospitals are equipped with state of the art GE Pristina Mammography machines, 2D and 3D are regularly used in assessment clinics and in Colchester CEM (Contrast Enhanced Mammography) has been introduced. A qualified Mammographer holding a Post Graduate Award in Mammography is Essential for this post. We would welcome you for an informal visit. Internal applicants currently employed by ESNEFT will be offered on a secondment basis only.
Advanced Practice is supported within the department with radiographers film reading, performing Interventional procedures, cannulating for CEM and carrying out audits. A robust appraisal system is in place and staff wellbeing and patient experience is at the heart of everything we do.
