Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in marine boatbuilding (timber/GRP) preferred.
  • Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Fitting ply bulkheads and cabin sole bearers.
  • Making and installing cabin furniture and doors.
  • Cladding bulkheads with polished veneered panels.
  • Installing sole boards and performing light upholstery work.
  • Epoxy lay-up of sub-assemblies.
  • Levelling boats and fitting other internal components.

Based in Norfolk, this is a full‑time, permanent role within a supportive, high‑quality production environment. As an Internal Boat Builder, you'll be hands‑on with premium yacht interiors, taking responsibility for fitting and finishing components to precise measurements, ensuring every detail meets the standard expected in world‑class yacht building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fitting ply bulkheads and cabin sole bearers
  • Making and installing cabin furniture and doors
  • Cladding bulkheads with polished veneered panels
  • Installing sole boards and performing light upholstery work
  • Epoxy lay‑up of sub‑assemblies
  • Levelling boats and fitting other internal components
  • Working from technical drawings to achieve precise finishes
About You
  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification

  • Skilled in using hand and power tools safely
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques for marine interiors
