Qualifications

  • Must be HCPC registered as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • Experience in Haematology and Transfusion required.
  • Capability to oversee test procedures and quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and run daily test procedures and quality control.
  • Process urgent and routine work to maintain turnaround times.
  • Provide education and training to health care colleagues.

Skills

In depth knowledge of the assays
Clinical analyser performance evaluation
Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
Knowledge of current laboratory software
Demonstrating NNUH's PRIDE values

Education

State registration with Health Professions Council (HPC)
Specialised Diploma from the IBMS or equivalent
