The Science Faculty is a highly respected and successful part of the school. It consistently achieves excellent outcomes at GCSE and is housed in 11 fully equipped science laboratories. Practical work is a core strength of the faculty, supported by an outstanding team of science technicians operating out of two preparation labs.
The faculty benefits from a strong mix of experienced and early-career teachers who work collaboratively and continually strive to refine their practice. Students and staff each have their own iPad, enabling modern, technology-enhanced learning.

Head of Department / Faculty Lead / Head of Year
Deliver high-quality Biology and Science lessons across the allocated timetable.
Follow and apply Health & Safety procedures in Science laboratories.
Assess students according to school, departmental and exam board requirements.
Provide written and oral feedback for individuals and groups.
Communicate with parents as required through school systems.
Provide pastoral care for a tutor group.
Monitor academic progress and provide support where required.
Encourage full participation in school life.
Undertake any reasonable additional tasks required by the Principal.
Comply with all Trust and school policies including safeguarding, pastoral care, Health & Safety, security, confidentiality and GDPR.
