Are you an experienced Bid Writer? Do you want to be part of a winning Bid Team? Impact Futures Group have a new opportunity for a creative and talented Bid Writer to join our expanding Commercial Bids team.

Please note, whilst this is a remote role, there may be occasions where you will need to travel to meet with members of your team.

The salary banding is between £29,000 to £31,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Role

You will be bid/tender writing in all opportunity pursuit stages, PQQ/ITT through to final written submissions. You will also be assisting with writing compelling bids, editing and proofing bids and carrying out various bid administration tasks. Working closely with the Head of Bid Management and Bid colleagues, your role will involve collaborating with all areas of our commercial and operations departments, to assist and create business winning sales documentation under client-driven time constraints. Full on the job training will be provided.

The role will involve:

  • Identify, review and log bid opportunities
  • Confirm often complex requirements of individual bids and ensure bid deadlines are met
  • Assist in the design and completion of storyboards and bid plans
  • Complete company information and company responses within SSQs
  • Participate in bid kick off meetings and key reviews
  • Contribute relevant ideas for identifying win themes and developing bid submissions to the company's advantage in order to present the company's strengths
  • Work side by side with operational teams, subject matter experts, as required to create and edit quality written content
  • Collaborate with Bid colleagues to continuously improve content, maintaining a record of exemplar content in support of future submissions and opportunities

About You
  • Have a passion for writing and be able to write innovative, succinct and meaningful submissions that reinforce our track record and solutions-focused approach to clients
  • Have a proven record of successfully written submissions or high-quality written outputs
  • Have excellent writing abilities, as well as strong IT, research and problem-solving skills
  • Sound judgment and problem solving skills, particularly in situations where solutions are not immediately obvious.
  • Be a self starter, organised, hardworking and flexible as this is a fast-paced and challenging role, working to multiple deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Desirable
  • Experience of working in the Adult Education sector (but not essential)
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in, e.g. English Literature/Language.
  • Familiarity with bid management platforms.
  • Experience using AI-powered writing and editing tools (e.g., Co-Pilot, Grammarly, ChatGPT) to enhance content quality and efficiency.
  • Understanding of digital collaboration tools and cloud-based document sharing (e.g. Sharepoint).
  • Awareness of cybersecurity and data protection principles in handling sensitive bid information.
  • Experience maintaining digital content libraries or knowledge bases to support bid development.
