About you

As Bid Manager, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of construction professionals and stakeholders. You will take ownership of the end-to-end bid process, ensuring proposals are of a high written quality, presented on brand and technically compliant whilst supporting the business with work winning and the implementation of the bid strategy. Enjoy working on a hybrid basis from our London Bridge office.

  • Working with the senior leadership team across the business to produce winning first and second stage bids
  • Overseeing PQQ’s/SQ’s and any other standard information questionnaires, ensuring technical compliance throughout
  • Following company templates to produce high quality proposal documents and presentations
  • Working with the bid team to develop bespoke bid texts
  • Managing the bid qualification (bid go / no go) process for new opportunities
  • Ensuring bid processes and governance is followed
  • Supporting in the development of the bidding strategy for the business
  • Leading kick off meetings
  • Line managing the Bid Coordinators and other positions as appropriate
  • Managing bid and opportunity tracker ensuring reporting data captured
  • Producing bidding statistic reports as requested
  • Always take personal responsibility for the health and safety of self and others by working within the Health and Safety policy and procedures
  • Endeavour to improve our social and environmental impact
  • Any other duties as reasonably required of my role

What skills will you need?

  • Longstanding experience in a construction professional services background
  • Proven capability in delivering winning proposals in the construction sector
  • Strong Knowledge of bid documentation including SQs, EOI’s and ITT
  • Experience in writing bespoke answers tailored to clients’ needs
  • Excellent working knowledge of InDesign
  • Multitasking and time management must be a strength
  • Confident and approachable when dealing with colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly organised with strong time management
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
