A healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking a Band 7 Bereavement Midwife to provide essential bereavement support services for families experiencing pregnancy loss or baby death. This role requires leading support services, collaborating with obstetric teams, and maintaining high standards of care. This is an internal opportunity to cover maternity leave as a Band 7 Bereavement Midwife.
You will work alongside the existing Bereavement Midwife and Named Consultant providing bereavement services for maternity. This role includes direct clinical care in hospital and community settings. There is a established joint Consultant and Specialist Midwife Rainbow Clinic providing support for families in their Rainbow Pregnancy.
This post will include cross site working between The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital including community home visits for families.
Lead and support staff, setting standards of care in the provision of information and practical advice to parents experiencing termination of pregnancy for fetal anomaly, stillbirth and neonatal death.

Hospital Transformation Programme (HTP)
As part of our long-term vision to improve patient care and service delivery, our Service will relocate to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in 2028. This move will unite specialist services in a purpose-built, modern environment, enhancing care and team experience.
We are actively recruiting and want applicants to be aware that successful candidates will be expected to move with the Service in early 2028. The relocation will follow a formal management of change process, with full consultation and support for colleagues.
