A supportive school in Romford is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Specialist to join its team. This role is ideal for individuals who can build strong relationships, provide consistent guidance, and create strategies that help pupils manage their behaviour and achieve success both in and out of the classroom.

Responsibilities as a Behaviour Specialist:
  • Support pupils with behavioural, social, and emotional needs to engage in learning.
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups to deliver tailored interventions.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to promote positive outcomes.
  • Record and monitor student progress while maintaining safeguarding standards.
Requirements for Behaviour Specialist:
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour.
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to working with diverse needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
