Job summary

A logistics and supply chain company in Great Yarmouth is seeking a Base Operative for a 12-month fixed term contract. Responsibilities include supporting operations such as goods receipt, picking/packing, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness. Ideal candidates will possess forklift experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety and customer service. Experience with SAP and a Banksman/Slinger certificate are desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

We currently have a vacancy for a Base Operative to support operations at our Great Yarmouth facility. Duties will include but not limited to goods receipt, picking/packing, loading and discharging trailers and containers, checking materials and maintaining yard and warehouse cleanliness.

Applicants will have experience of operating a forklift up to 12 tonne, although not essential and working in a similar role. Banksman/Slinger certificate is also highly desirable.

The successful candidate will have a focus on delivering excellent customer service, a proven ability to work under own initiative and possess strong communication skills together with a proven ability to support a strong safety culture. SAP and stock checking experience is desirable but not essential.
