Position Statement

As Bar Supervisor you will be responsible for:

  • The effective supervision of the Bar team ensuring the efficient operation of the shift and the delivery of exceptional service and guest experience.
  • Greeting and seating guests with a warm and professional welcome on arrival and throughout their stay.
  • Planning organising and prioritising to ensure that our guests expectations are exceeded.
  • Developing and maintaining good relationships both with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of a seamless experience for our guests.
  • Overseeing the Bars team and ensuring the bar and tables are cleared and set for service quickly and efficiently.
  • Training and developing of the Bar floor team as required.
  • Dealing with guest complaints as and when required.
  • Ensuring quality standards and procedures are fully understood and implemented and daily checking procedures are fully applied.
  • Ensuring the bar is covered and working seamlessly within the Hotel.
  • Assisting with large conference and banqueting functions including weddings.
  • Ensuring the Bars areas fixtures and equipment are properly maintained and presented to the required standards.
  • Ensuring a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health safety fire hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures.
What you will need (Essential Criteria)
  • Previous bar experience at team leader level.
  • Guest focused approach with a passion to deliver excellent guest service.
  • Ability to work under pressure within a team.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience of running a shift.
  • High standards of attention to detail.
Desirable Criteria
  • Previous Hotel experience.
  • Previous conference and banqueting experience.
