Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in the United Kingdom seeks a Universal Banker to provide outstanding customer service, educate customers on digital platforms and promote financial inclusion. You will identify vulnerable customers and support their banking needs, delivering a personal, empathetic experience.

Training is in-branch with a 9-day course; 35 hours per week Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00 and Sat 09:00-13:30. Starting salary £27,200 per year plus a discretionary bonus and benefits.

• Excellent communication skills enabling effective conversations with customers
• Ability to take ownership of customer enquiries through to resolution
• Resilience in a continuously changing environment
• Experience or interest in educating customers on digital services and fraud awareness

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact in Branch Customer Service and own customer needs to deliver an exceptional experience
• Educate customers on HSBC digital services and fraud awareness
• Identify vulnerable customers and determine the best support route
• Assist customers with more complex banking needs to ensure they feel supported
