Job summary

A supportive living organization in Ramsgate is seeking a Project Worker to help clients with support plans, social inclusion, and advocacy. The role requires experience in supporting victims of domestic abuse, knowledge of housing management, and excellent interpersonal skills. Qualifications

  • Able to react effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Assess client needs by writing and updating support plans.
  • Assist clients with managing finances and welfare benefits.
  • Encourage social inclusion and build clients' confidence.
  • Work with agencies on behalf of clients and advocate for them.

Job description
The role of Project Worker will include:
  • Regularly assessing the needs of clients by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training, and employment
  • Assisting clients with managing finances and welfare benefits
  • Encouraging social inclusion and helping clients to build their confidence, resilience, and self-esteem
  • Working with statutory and non‑statutory agencies on behalf of the clients and actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required
  • Promoting safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments within legislative frameworks
Skills and experiences:
  • You will have previous experience in a role supporting victims of domestic abuse or a background gained in a supported living environment in a project worker capacity
  • Sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management
  • Good understanding of occupancy agreements
The ability to react effectively under pressure
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and ability to source innovative solutions to problems
  • You will be empathetic and non‑judgmental with good interpersonal and customer care skills
  • NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards, is essential
