Job description
Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician role at HMP Lewes to join our team. HMP Lewes is a category B male prison. Lewes prison is based near the centre of the historical town of Lewes, which is just a 5 minute walk away.

This site features both a pharmacy and a dispenser, supported by a highly skilled and cohesive team. Due to ongoing growth, they are looking to expand the team by adding 6 more technicians, creating a group of 12. The site provides opportunities for L&D, as well as career advancement through ACPT training. A visit to the prison can be arranged if you wish to check it out.

Hours

Monday-Thursday 07:30-17:30 (30-minute break)

Friday 07:30-17:00 (30-minute break)

Saturday and Sunday 08:00-17:00 (30-minute break)

Salary

This position is at a bank rate of £21 an hour.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job

You will hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) to be considered for this role. You will also have relevant post-qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi-disciplinary team.
