Main Duties of the Job:

About you:
We are seeking enthusiastic, caring and compassionate individuals to join our hospice team working on our wards in Crawley.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a professional demeanour and display a commitment to providing a high standard of care to our patients. An NVQ 3 in Health/Social care or relevant experience in Care work is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given. Candidates should have a sound understanding of health and safety procedures and infection prevention & control.
This post is offered on a Bank basis, working adhoc hours as and when required.
Please note a requirement of all roles at St Catherines is to complete mandatory E-learning training and remain compliant with this throughout your employment.

JOB PURPOSE
You'll work as part of an integrated team of nurses and nursing assistants delivering high quality, individualised care to patients referred to St Catherine's Hospice, and their families.
You'll have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Using teamwork and cooperation, you'll contribute to a positive, supportive and professional working environment.
Under clinical direction, nursing assistants help to deliver high standards of holistic and individualised patient care, embracing the hospice's vision and values.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
